Water Heaters

New types of water heaters can increase the energy efficiency of your home.

Today, with such an emphasis on energy efficiency, both for the conservation of resources and the reduction of homeowner’s ever-escalating fuel bills, we can provide several different solutions to fit the needs of your home and reduce cost and energy consumption.

The most common energy sources for heating water are fossil fuels natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, oil or sometimes solid fuels. These fuels may be consumed directly or by the use of electricity (which may derive from any of the above fuels or from nuclear or renewable sources). Alternative energy such as solar energy, heat pumps, hot water heat recycling, and sometimes geothermal power, may also be used as available, usually in combination with gas, oil or electricity.

Here are a few energy saving tips we suggest when focusing on the daily hot water and energy costs for traditional water heaters:

Insulate the water heater
Take showers instead of baths
Insulate the first 6 feet of hot and cold water pipes connected to your water heater
Drain a quarter of water from your tank every three months to remove sediment that lowers efficiency

Electric Water Heaters are the most popular of all heaters for a number of reasons. First, electric heaters can be used in private homes, offices, mansions, buildings, and almost everywhere, wherever a steady supply of electricity is available. The functionality of electric heaters is simple which adds to the cost effectiveness of electric heaters in the long run. Heat is distributed through the coils set into the walls and when the temperature is adjusted, an electric signal is sent to the electric coils starts the heating procedure accordingly. When the desired temperature is reached, electric power is cut off.
