Kitchen Pantry

People will usually build a kitchen pantry when their current storage facilities are no longer adequate for their needs. Sometimes a kitchen pantry may be built as part of a kitchen remodeling project. This could be as simple as a replacement of bench-tops to a complete kitchen make-over with new cupboards and appliances. Whatever the reason, more and more people are deciding to build or add a kitchen pantry.

The kitchen in many homes is without a doubt where most of your time is spent. It is quite common in many of these kitchens to not have enough storage space in the cabinets. This becomes really difficult to manage in a home with a growing family. Many families will decide to build a kitchen pantry. It is definitely a much cheaper alternative to moving to a bigger home.

Efficiency is one of the key factors when you have decided to build a new kitchen pantry. The idea is that the extra space will allow you to store extra foodstuffs in a practical manner with easy access and identification. It is very frustrating having to rummage around in a kitchen pantry trying to find items that you know are there but seem to be temporarily lost.

It is quite common to hear it said that there can never be enough cupboards or storage space in a kitchen. This is certainly true of the pantry. Ideally a kitchen pantry should be able to organize all the non perishable food in the kitchen which then frees up cupboard space for other items.

Once the decision has been made to build a kitchen pantry, serious thought should then be given to its planning. This will mean investigating all the clever storage ideas that are now available from roll out shelving to customized racks for spices, cans and bottled goods. This is an ideal opportunity to examine what types of foods you purchase and to design your kitchen pantry around them.

Adjustable shelving, roll-outs, cannery rows, and adjustable door ladders are just a few of the types of fittings that you need to examine before you build the kitchen pantry. The final choice is going to be dependent upon how much room you have. If you have limited space then there are many different types of shelving options which allow you to maximize every spare inch.

If room permits, the best type of kitchen pantry to build is the walk-in version. This provides floor-to-ceiling shelving with plenty of space for everything. For easy use and convenience it is definitely the best choice but often difficult to accommodate during a kitchen renovation. Families who buy their food in bulk should ideally have one of these types of kitchen pantries.

Kitchen sinks come in huge variety of shapes and sizes. We will make your sink decisions as simple as possible. Consider the needs of your sink. You might choose to install a double sink, large sink or even a second sink. What you need depends on how you use your kitchen.

The process of picking out your kitchen sink is very closely tied into picking out your kitchen cabinets and kitchen countertops. You have to prioritize what is most important to you. Is it the look of the sink, the cabinets or the countertops that will drive your newly renovated kitchen? Most sinks will work with most cabinetry and countertops, but there are exceptions. Please call or fill out our Consultation Request Form to get your kitchen remodel started.

We normally work with Kohler, Grohe, Moen, Blanco, Elkay, Newport Brass and Whitehaus brands, but if you have something specific in mind that you saw or have already bought we can easily incorporate your brands or sinks into our designs.
